WHAT SIZE CREMATION URN DO WE NEED?
There are many factors that vary the amount of ashes, including the cremation processes, temperature variations, bone structure, height and age. Here is a general guide to knowing what size fits your needs:
Our Extra Large Cremation Urns: Any urn on our site marked as extra large is generally suitable for tall adults, 6" (182.88cm) and over. These urns are generally about 220 cubic inches.
Our Large Cremation Urns: Any urn on our site marked as large is generally suitable for average height adults (5"-5.9* or 152cm-179cm). These urns are generally about 200 cubic inches.
Our Medium Cremation Urns: Any urn on our site marked as medium is generally suitable for children. These urns are generally about 90 cubic inches.
Our Small Cremation Urns: Any urn on our site marked as small is generally suitable for infants. These urns are generally about 35 cubic inches.
WHAT ABOUT PET URNS?
A 120kg animal needs an urn of 212 cubic inches/ 3.48 litres or larger. This is generally an extra large cremation urn.
A 100kg animal needs an urn of 176 cubic inches/ 2.90 litres or larger. This is generally our large cremation urn.
A 80 kg animal needs an urn of 141 cubic inches/ 2.32 litres or larger. This is generally a large cremation urn.
A 60 kg animal needs an urn of 106 cubic inches/ 1.74 litres or larger. This is generally a large cremation urn.
A 40 kg animal needs an urn of 70 cubic inches/ 1.16 litres or larger. This is generally a medium cremation urn.
A 20 kg animal needs an urn of 34 cubic inches/ 0.57 litres or larger. This is generally a small cremation urn.
WHAT IF THE ASHES DON’T FIT IN THE URN?
If your ashes don’t look like they will fit inside the selected urn, please refrain from placing them inside to ‘test it’ and instead, return your urn to us in its original packing in brand new condition. We are happy for you to swap it with a larger urn or provide you with a credit note.
If you’ve already placed the ashes inside the urn, we cannot accept any returns, so we recommend purchasing an additional keepsake urn or jewellery for the remaining ashes. Other options include scattering the ashes with a meaningful ash scattering ceremony, or burying them under a tree.
Please note: due to health and hygiene reasons, if any cremains have been inside an urn we cannot accept returns.

DO YOU OFFER FREE SHIPPING?
Yes, when you place an order in Australia only over $200. For all orders under that value, as well as international customers, shipping will be added at checkout.
CAN I TRACK MY DELIVERY?
Yes, you will receive an email providing a tracking number and link once your order has been dispatched through Australia Post. You can follow its journey right to your door.
DO YOU SHIP WORLDWIDE?
Yes, we sure do. All orders will be dispatched from our headquarters on the Gold Coast, Australia. Please note: free shipping does not apply on international orders.
CAN I PICK UP MY ORDER?
Unfortunately due to security reasons, we are unable to allow public access to our facilities.
CAN MY PARCEL BE REDIRECTED?
We are unable to redirect orders once they have been dispatched, so please supply an address where you will be able to sign for the package.
If in the case you would like your parcel to be left in a safe spot without a signature, please make a note of this in your delivery details when placing your order.

CAN I SELECT EXPRESS SHIPPING?
We send all our orders by Express Post. In most cases this means next day delivery excluding remote areas outside the metropolitan area. We cannot guarantee next day delivery.
CAN I RETURN MY ORDER?
At The Urn Collective your satisfaction is our absolute number one priority! If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, we will happily exchange or offer you a store credit to be used at any time.
We understand it can be difficult to sometimes make your purchase online, so please feel free to email us at email@example.com to discuss your requirements so we can ensure you select the perfect option for you.
To return your item please email firstname.lastname@example.org and request your RTA (Return Authorisation Number). All we ask is you ship back your item within 10 working days of receiving your order with your RNA and we can start this process for you. Once the item has been received we will contact you within 24 hours to arrange your exchange.
Some important things to note when exchanging an item:
- Items must be unused and in their original condition.
- Items must be in the original packaging and with all tags attached (where applicable)
- All SALE items are final sale and cannot be exchanged or refunded for a change of mind.
- We do not offer returns on any engraved or personalised items.
- Shipping fees for all returns are to be covered by the customer. The Urn Collective is not responsible for lost or damaged packages in transit. We recommend you ship your returns by courier or registered post.
- The return of any urn cannot be accepted if it shows any evidence of holding cremains.
- We inspect all items when returned thoroughly and as such returns must comply within our guidelines in order for a credit to be issued or an exchange to be made.
